Coordinator, Emergency Management Programs

Reports to: Director, Emergency Management

Position Overview: The successful candidate will coordinate, support and provide daily and developmental program activities for emergency preparedness initiatives and emergency program management under the supervision of the Director, Emergency Management. Additionally, this role will support the programs under the Director of Quality Improvement.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Emergency Management:

  • Coordinate program activities and deliverables for Mass League Emergency Management and Preparedness initiatives and
  • Provide support for training; program design, logistics, coordination, research and resources materials, and any other activity necessary to achieve successful engagement within community health centers in emergency preparedness (EP) and Emergency Management.
  • Support contract process, preparation of grants and reports with community health centers statewide, assuring distribution of funds. Monitor and track funding programs status and related reporting by Assist with tracking deliverables, project plans, related data required and reporting requirements.
  • Support programmatic and contract work with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and other public health emergency preparedness organizations and collaborate at state, local and regional
  • Support development and distribution of resource materials and information to centers and key emergency preparedness
  • Coordinate materials and logistics for emergency preparedness and management initiatives, trainings, webinars and
  • Attend emergency preparedness, public health meetings and training and education activities. Represent Mass League and community health centers as maybe assigned including local, regional, state and national

Quality Improvement:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of meetings, webinars and events.
  • Write internal and external communication emails to inform members and staff of important notices.
  • Contribute to add and maintain the library repository resources in collaboration software platform for the Infection control, Nurse Managers andQI forums under the direction of Director of QI.
  • Conduct regular analysis of processes and procedures for Infection Control Leads Forum, adjusting as necessary.
  • Maintain contact lists of members in association management software and update information periodically.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred degree in Emergency Management.
  • One to three years professional experience in emergency management preferred in a health care setting.
  • Experience working with local boards of health, state and federal agencies and health care facilities preferred
  • Experience working with grants and contracts preferred
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS)/Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications desired; ICS-300 and ICS-400, and HSEEP certification Will provide training and time to obtain the certification during the first year of hire.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software

Salary range: $50,000-$61,500 annually
