As a Content Writing Manager, you will contribute by crafting meaningful and compelling written content that accurately reflects our company’s voice and ideals across multiple media channels. You will also develop customer-relevant storytelling that drives customer awareness, retention, and engagement. The Content Writing Manager’s ideas and storytelling expertise will help elevate the company’s brand and support launches of life-changing technologies that can help make a difference in patients’ lives.

The Content Writing Manager reports directly to the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications, and will collaborate closely with marketing communications, scientific and clinical writer, and digital and creative teams to generate rich written content, which will be read by a wide range of healthcare professional audiences. Remote Base Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Write clear and compelling copy for multiple marketing platforms such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, blogs, tradeshows, campaigns, and more
Collect content information from marketing partners and thoughtfully tailor stories to various targets within the healthcare space
Carefully research target audiences and competitors and proactively generate ideas on interesting and relevant content that will grasp customers’ attention
Write original and compelling content that will help educate audiences about the benefits of Beckman Coulter’s products and solutions
Establish and maintain the consistent voice that reinforces company brand, regularly review content written by others for consistency in brand voice and style
Champion and maintain high standards for grammar and accuracy while staying on top of regulatory approved language for product claims
Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to improve the online visibility of webpages in search results

The essential requirements of the job include:
9+ years’ experience and at least 5+ as a technical or clinical writer in the medical or diagnostic space
Experience in executive written communications, corporate communications, professional writing, political/campaign speechwriting, and/or journalism
Sophisticated mastery of English language (additional languages a plus), proven expertise in writing a wide variety of technical and non-technical content
Understanding of the clinical laboratory audience and knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Demonstrated ability to quickly gather clinical and technical facts and distill them into a compelling and logical story that resonates with target audiences
Bachelor of Science degree (life sciences, public health or clinical sciences); graduate science degree preferred
Comfortable in a global, fast-paced, always-on, highly matrixed environment effectively working on several projects with competing priorities
Strong collaborator with the ability to work well within the department and cross-functionally and to solve for the “big picture”
Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision; good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling and adapting as necessary
