Job Description

VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. We are currently seeking a Laser Machine Operator . This role is responsible for operating the machine and devices used for laser purposes. They do the engraving and cutting of the metal or plastic parts of the laser device.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up and adjustment of the the machine lens to meet the correct specification.
  • Ensure that there will be no issues before and after operating the laser device by routinely checking the equipment.
  • Monitor and do an inventory of instruments and tools required if there are operations or whenever they are required.
  • Operate laser and brake press equipment, while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Follow and comply to ISO regulations
  • Help out the brake press operators and run punch press.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities list above.
  • Use CNC lasers to produce metal and synthetic material parts, while maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Load the material into the CNC, pull programs from the files, and keep the piece of equipment running smoothly.
  • Make machines adjustments, and check dimensions, OD and length all round piece and straight piece minimum.
  • Apply extensive use of mathematics and computer knowledge.

Requirements

  • Prior experience of at least 3 years of operating CNC laser equipment.
  • Understanding of electronic component types and packaging(i.e. BGA, SOICS, RES/CAP packages etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering assembly document such as BOM's, assembly drawings, engineering change orders, quality process documents
  • Interpret engineering drawings and documentation
  • Computer literate and ability to communicate in the English language both written and oral.
