This position is for Full Time Night Shift (schedule subject to change)Sign-on bonus of up to $1,000.00.

Job duties and responsibilities:
  • Assists with all personal care of the patient, including bathing, mouth, skin, and nail care, helping with elimination needs (bedpans, commode, enema, bathroom), assists with transfers, ambulation, ADL’s, helping a patient in and out of bed, helps with food preparation and feeding of the patient if required.
  • Observes the patient for a general physical, emotional, and mental condition and report any changes to the charge nurse.
  • Is responsible for safety, including the use of good body mechanics, with patient turnings and transfers.
  • Performs household duties, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, errands, meal preparation, as assigned.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the patient. Never discusses a patient or situation of a patient, except with the appropriate staff.
  • Is expected to attend all Hospice Care Center staff meetings and in-services.
  • Supports families or significant others as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable auto for transportation services.
  • Current CNA License.
  • Current CPR Card.
  • Food handler’s card.
  • Proof of TB screening if available.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
