Cloud Software Security Engineer

Genesys is seeking a Software Cloud Security Engineer to become an integral part of the Platform Security team. The information security professional we seek has a technical background and experience with cloud security fundamentals, technologies, compliance frameworks and best practices. Strong communication and organizational skills are key in this role. Candidates must have the ability to work within a team and will work closely with the Cloud Security Architect and other senior engineers.
Responsibilities:

• Provide security expertise to maintain and enhance the security posture of Genesys Cloud platforms.
• Follow, review, define and document security processes and standard operating procedures.
• Administer and maintain information security infrastructure solutions such as Tenable, Duo, Thycotic, Threatstack, Tripwire & EDR technologies.
• Provide security consultation and guidance on technology solutions.
• Participate in the evaluation, investigation and remediation of security incidents.
• Create and/or provide input on security policies, processes and procedures.
• Implement new security services and solutions as directed by Cloud Security leadership.
• Review and evaluate environmental risk of new security vulnerabilities.
• Perform access reviews and vulnerability assessments.
• Attend and participate in risk assessments.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in an Information Security capacity.
• Sound understanding of Information Security Fundamentals.
• In depth experience with at least one area of Information Security such as Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively or independently to accomplish high profile or time-sensitive tasks.
• Successful history of troubleshooting & problem solving.
• Proven record of executing security controls, testing, & programs in an enterprise environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Information Security best practices.
• Innate curiosity and initiative.

Other Desired Experience:

• Experience working with a ticketing/workflow management system like JIRA or Service Now.
• Experience in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery or DevOps environment.
• Experience in a SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS environment.
• Experience with audits of any Compliance Framework such as PCI, ISO, HIPAA.
