Providence is calling a Clinical Operations Specialist - Pmg Anticoagulation Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to Prov Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR.

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Specialist - Pmg Anticoagulation Services who will be the point of contact for patients in the Anticoagulation Clinic, Pharmacotherapy Clinic, or other Pharmacy setting. This position provides operational support to maintain patient flow, coordinate care, and triage, gather and manage patient clinical information.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Route clinic calls and takes messages using appropriate smartphrases
  • Manage ACC In Baskets on EMR daily, assuring tasks and communications are followed through
  • Prepare new patient data in EMR
  • Assure referrals and pre-visits are completed and checked before patients first visit
  • Schedule new patients, explaining the ACC/Pharmacotherapy program and the importance of compliance
  • Communicate to referring care providers the referral acceptance and first visit date of new patients

Qualifications:

Required qualification in this position includes:

  • High school diploma -OR- GED
  • Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and office equipment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent grammar, composition, and office management principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively and politely with doctors, nurses, patients, and staff members
  • Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently manage and organize patient data for up to 1500 patient files

Preferred qualification in this position includes:

  • College-level health care management course work
  • EMR experience
