Job Description
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field at an accredited institution.
- This position is in the hospital Cardiac Rehab department and is responsible for utilizing assessment options to identify and evaluate patient therapeutic fitness, health behaviors and or sports performance needs.
- This position works with patients and clients to develop treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, health fitness and health goals.
- They will develop exercise programs that appropriately address patient long and short term goals.
- They will educate patients on their exercise program, educational needs and risk factors of heart disease.
- They must complete BLS, ACLS certification and EKG competency
- Within first year passing either CCRP(Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Profession) or ACSM-CCEP.
- This position requires carrying, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pushing/pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
