Your experience includes state of Florida stormwater management Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP), creek & fluvial hydrology/hydraulics, stormwater modeling and analysis (SWMM, HEC-RAS, ICPR, etc.), coastal processes, water quality modeling, flood studies and inundation modeling, field data collection, Matlab programming, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or GIS.

You hold a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, physical sciences or a related field, and are a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida, or possess the ability to obtain a FL PE, via NCEES reciprocity or by passing the PE exam, within six months of employment.

What You Will Do for ESA

Support the analysis, design and implementation for shoreline, wetland and creek enhancement and restoration projects in collaboration with our team of civil and coastal engineers, hydrologists, geomorphologists, scientists and water quality specialists in our Tampa and southeast region offices.

Provide hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, quantitative analysis of physical processes (sediment transport, sedimentation and erosion rates); watershed/drainage analysis; report writing and field surveys (mapping erosion and flood hazard zones) in support of multi-objective shoreline, wetland and creek enhancement and restoration designs; natural resource and watershed management; and stormwater management systems compliance.

Demonstrate your understanding of project management principles and practices and be responsible for the development of environmental compliance and design documents in accordance with applicable guidelines and requirements, while delivering assignments within budget and schedule.

Consistently demonstrate your solid writing skills and excellent oral and presentation skills while participating in and/or lead client meetings, and marketing and business development tasks including having the responsibility for preparing scopes of work and budgets for proposals or contract negotiations, providing technical input, and participating in interviews.
