Child Protective Services Social Worker

GENERAL JOB INFORMATION:

The District of Columbia Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is seeking outstanding professionals to fill Social Worker positions within our Child Protective Services (CPS) Administrations. CFSA is evolving as a national leader in child protection, foster care and adoptive services and leading the way as the employer of choice for those looking to make an impact on child welfare in the nation’s capital. Child Protective Services encompasses two administrations: Investigations and Family Assessments. Both administrations respond to a variety of child abuse and neglect reports. The family assessments administration focuses on a family-first approach by engaging the family in services without a disposition. The investigations administration also focuses on engaging families, but will result in a disposition or finding.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURES/SALARY RANGES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

This position is a career ladder from Grade 09 through Grade 11.

Grade 09 - $64,048 - $79,969

Grade 09 - Up to Three (3) years related case management experience.

A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Grade 09: Required to be a current D.C. Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) to practice social work in the District of Columbia.

Grade 09 - Up to Three (3) years related case management experience.

Grade 11 - $72,953 - $92,195

Grade 11 - Three (3) to five (5) years related case management work experience.

A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Grade 11: Required to be a current D.C. Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) to practice social work in the District of Columbia.

Grade 12 - $82,326 - $105,339

Grade 12 - Five (5) years of relevant professional experience or a combination of education and experience.

A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Grade 12: Required to be a current D.C. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to practice social work in the District of Columbia.

**Bi-lingual candidates are preferred.

Preferred: Dually licensed in Maryland and District of Columbia
