Milwaukie Animal Clinic of WellHaven Pet Health family of hospitals is looking for a Certified or Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. Milwaukie Animal Clinic has been here in Milwaukie helping families and their pets for over 25 years. At MAC we provide excellent primary veterinary care, treating pets from kitten and puppyhood into their Silver Senior years. When they need wellness checks and shots, or when they get an infection or need dental or surgical treatment, we are here to help!

This technician's main job is to assist in surgeries including spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals, etc. We work to utilize our technicians to the best of their abilities and want you to use the skills you worked so hard to receive. We have also partnered with Kara Burns, who was previously the president of NAVTA, as our Director of Veterinary Nursing Development to help further develop our technician's skills including a training program in nutrition.

Duties to include:

• Administering medications
• Inducing anesthesia
• Assisting in surgical procedures
• Performing respiratory tests
• Taking pulse rates and temperature
• Performing catheterization
• Collecting blood samples from animals
• Assisting doctors in exam rooms
