Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is a 358-bed hospital located in Murfreesboro, TN. Rutherford County is one of the fastest growing counties in Tennessee. As such, our facility is keeping pace meeting the demands of our community. We are a certified stroke and chest pain center, have a Level II NICU, 26 bed ICU, 36 bed step-down ICU. In addition, our Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the state, seeing upward of 300 patients per day. We are working towards becoming a Level II Trauma center, increasing our acuity of NICU to Level III, and have submitted a certificate of need for the state to evaluate our desire to perform open heart surgeries.

  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackage bulk medications.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies.
  • Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.
What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcare Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
    • Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
