CEI Project Administrator

Mehta Engineering and Associates, Inc., a 40 year plus established civil engineering and construction management firm is looking for a Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Project Administrator / Project Engineer to work in the Palm Beach County area. The Project Engineer / Project Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all field operations and inspection as well as administrative and financial functions of the contract.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare construction inspection summaries of daily activities
• Review drawings, specifications, and installation for constructability (plans, specs, shop drawings)
• Analyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel
• Inform Client on project issues and provide them with recommendations
• Interact with Project Managers and Business Managers in a proactive manner to determine what routine issues affecting project management need to be addressed

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years of horizontal construction experience, particularly on bridge and highway construction. Experience can be as a Contractor Construction Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Superintendent or a CEI Inspection Team Member.
• Previous experience as Assistant Project Administrator/Project Administrator on past construction projects, on the CEI side or a Project Manager on the Contractor side is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is preferable
• A Professional Engineering License is preferable
