Job overview

MERS Goodwill is looking for CDL Drivers to join our team based out of downtown St. Louis. All CDL Drivers work four ten-hour shifts each week, with every other week having a three day weekend. Typical shifts range from 7 AM to 7 PM, operating seven days per week. MERS Goodwill CDL Drivers are home every night. CDL Drivers transport goods and merchandise across Missouri and Illinois.

Essential/Primary Functions:

• Operate company vehicle(s) safely and courteously.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance record.
• Report any unsafe vehicle conditions for agency management.
• Pick up donated materials from households, collection points, or retail/industrial donors as directed by agency management.
• Issue receipts to donors as appropriate.
• Assist in loading and unloading trailers as needed.
• Unload donations at the processing facilities. Load shipments.
• Deliver retail shipments to stores.
• Maintain delivery receipts under agency guidelines.
• Direct activity of truck drivers and helpers.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push 50-pounds regularly.
• Heavy manual labor is required daily.
• Will sometimes be required to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold.
• Must observe all safety regulations set by the state, Federal government, and the agency.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Valid Illinois or Missouri Class-A CDL License,
  • 2-points or less on the License
• Must pass & obtain the Medical Examiner's Certificate (D.O.T. Certified).
• Three to five years of experience driving a Tractor Trailer is preferred.
