Position Summary Information Technologies Business Operations and the Office of the CIO are seeking a motivated student to provide finance, HR, and administrative support for 15-20 hours per week. This position will provide a broad high level of confidential financial and administrative support in the daily operations of the IT Business Operations unit and the CIO Office. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a professional demeanor, dependability and punctuality. Job duties will be performed on campus and include, but are not limited to:
Providing daily administrative support to include answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors with general clerical needs, and handling incoming/outgoing shipments
Initiating purchase requisitions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, including entering and researching billing transactions.
1. Providing ongoing support for IT Software Distribution (http://it.unm.edu/software)
2. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
3. Assisting with IT inventory maintenance
4. Assisting with other specialized projects as needed to support IT Business Operations in completion of IT initiatives
