Position Overview*
Legacy.com is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to build data driven stories out of a multitude of complex data points.
This position requires the Analyst to build and maintain reporting dashboards, identify growth opportunities, and to use data and analytics to grow revenue and improve operational performance. We are looking for an innovative, positive, self-directed team player who is passionate about solving problems.
Responsibilities

  • Develops robust visualizations, reports and dashboards that benchmark website, e-commerce, and operational performance, identifying trends, and detecting areas of concern.
  • Unifies data from multiple areas of the business, optimizing data pipelines to bring together various data sources.
  • Conducts both ad hoc and ongoing historical analyses for organizational KPIs, clearly and visually communicating relevant findings and offering recommendations to grow revenue, improve site performance and provide a better customer experience.
  • Manages internal user questions and education around data and BI tools, sharing knowledge to improve performance of team members.
  • Ensures data integrity across all reporting, such as honoring validation processes and identifying areas to improve.
  • Makes recommendations that will improve reporting capabilities and the automation of reports.
  • Collaborates with the technology and infrastructure teams to execute projects, define requirements, and make recommendations to ensure seamless workflow and consistency in reporting.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert around BI best practices.
  • Works collaboratively to identify business needs and provides data-driven insights to fuel business and marketing decisions.
  • Conducts analyses and tests hypotheses around business questions.
  • Develops consistent approaches and methodologies, automating repeatable tasks and driving process efficiencies.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data/business analytics in consumer web/mobile, digital advertising, internet search, e-commerce, or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience creating dashboards in Tableau, connecting to a wide variety of data sources including cloud-based databases.
  • 2+ years’ experience querying databases using SQL.
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Passion for analytics, data, and delivering results.
  • A strong curiosity that drives you to look for the meaning behind the data.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of teams including executives, customers, and developers.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven team player with ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for analytics, data, and delivering results.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or quantitative field.
  • Experience writing Python scripts in conjunction with data analysis and automation.
  • Experience using Google BigQuery.
  • Experience creating Alteryx workflows.
