Job Description

Manager Offshore. The VP, Business Development Officer – U.S. Offshore is responsible for researching and identifying new business opportunities via a consultative approach - including growth areas, trends, partnerships, products and services- and leading, prioritizing and executing on multiple simultaneous initiatives to ensure best client experience through its entire life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Amundi entire product proposition across all asset classes and vehicles (International UCIT Mutual Funds, UCIT ETF's and US Managed SMA's) and a strong understanding of the relevant competition in each category to identify opportunities to place Amundi products on key internal distributor platforms, model portfolios, product development opportunities and brand awareness.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Amundi entire service proposition including among others Amundi Academy, Amundi Technology and Amundi OCIO solutions and define strategic planning to attract new business and retain current clients.
  • Build collaborative relationships across a variety of internal groups including investments, marketing, RFP, legal, compliance, administration, operations, transfer agency, finance and client service to ensure all elements of the firm’s business are operating efficiently and effectively and meeting client requirements and best practices.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s investment and operational capabilities, service requirements, culture and vision in order to efficiently anticipate issues and solve problems that inevitably arise in the course of a client relationship.
  • Partner with Global Relationship Teams and Portfolio Consultant teams across Amundi organization on business opportunities and client engagement initiatives to ensure consistency and effectiveness regarding global and local sales processes. These interactions take many forms, including participating in global calls, on-site meetings and cross border strategic projects.
  • Partner with the internal sales teams to support their sales and client event activity, align strategic objectives, understand their needs and disseminate updates in regards to Distributor asset allocation views, rules of engagement and client engagement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the successful positioning of Amundi ESG and Thematic capabilities, educate clients and define and execute business strategy for Amundi to be consider an ESG partner of choice.
  • Act as the escalation point for any issues involving client experience, manage client expectations and help central teams to define and implement solutions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.
