GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIIES

The Business Analyst- Strategic Workflow Optimization will be a key player in identifying and executing initiatives that empower our operators to automate for efficiency, consistency, quality, and improved performance across Parallon. From conceptualizing and drafting automation ideas to execution using various methods. This Business Analyst will be collaborating with stakeholders while improving revenue cycle workflow.

DUTIES include but are not limited to:

  • Create, maintain, and update product and development information and act as an expert internally and externally supported by development
  • Assist in identification, documentation and evaluation of business needs and development efforts
  • Work with other business units to understand automation solution feasibility and limitations
  • Provide Tier 2 product support for production automations
  • Manage and communicate business implications of technology decisions and ensure appropriate approval of any requested changes to ensure solutions achieve desired results
  • Lead the team in daily scrum meetings using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Assist management in prioritization of work efforts/tasks and ensuring risks are communicated appropriately
  • Participate in strategic design and implementation of solutions in the automation portfolio
  • Communicate the progress of projects through clear, concise, and accurate roadmaps, business metrics, presentations, and status updates
  • Shadow and learns various revenue cycle job functions in order to determine potential workflow enhancements
  • Assists in business case development for new ideas, understanding and including technology, software and labor cost where applicable
  • Assists with educational materials to communicate changes
  • Maps out current state and future state using software such as Visio
  • Serves as liaison between Site Lead, SMEs and SSC team members
  • Practices and adheres to the HCA "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Values Statements"
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Quantitative skillset - Achieves measurable and quantifiable efficiency improvement through the use of analytical methods and data sources including but not limited to: Robotic Process Automation (RPA), FTEs, Productivity and Mnhr/Stat analysis.
  • Provide business process reengineering (BPR) support of process improvement engagements with the SSCs. Support teams to drive process improvement engagements. Help in the process of developing current and future state scenarios and perform gap analysis and implementation planning, including development of implementation roadmaps.
  • Participate in Continuous Process Improvement and design initiatives aimed at: improving the customer experience, reducing errors, reducing expenses, increasing revenues and creating capacity. Ability to measure and track ROI and build cost savings models based on key metrics.
  • Data and Technology - Use knowledge of Computer Science principles, software development lifecycle and monitoring and audit to design and develop automation according to company standards. Leverage data, database and data analytics tool (such as SQL, Essbase, Tableau and Power BI) to accurate evaluate business cases, track metrics and KPI, and demonstrate process and efficiency improvements.

  • Decisions and actions are guided by tested and validated data.
  • Contribution to Team Success - Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals. Lead collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams, including IT development, testing and integration teams.
  • Building and Maintaining Strategic Working Relationships - develops collaboration relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills in building, negotiating and maintaining crucial relationships.
  • Project Management- applies tools and processes to identify, communicate and manage project goals, schedules, responsibilities, progress, performance and priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics/Analytics, Information Science, Engineering or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience required, preferably with Parallon
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with data and technology
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) software development
  • Must have strong analytical, written, and presentation skills and the application of quantitative analysis techniques as applied in a revenue cycle environment
  • Familiarity with RPA tools, database and data modeling preferred. UiPath certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green-Belt certification or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience within healthcare operations preferred
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is preferred
