Our API-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant's end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.
We are a venture-backed startup based in downtown San Francisco (and since COVID began, fully remote) that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exits. Extend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry.
About the Role:
Extend is building a portfolio of warranty products that target the needs of our merchant partners and provide incredible value to the end customers. This role will work closely with sales, underwriting, and operations to optimize and develop warranty products to support programs across the enterprise. What You'll Do:

• Play a significant role in shaping Extend’s portfolio of protection plans and insurance services.
• Manage plans in internal and external systems including plan details, underwriting attributes, merchant and customer content, and claims considerations.
• Ensure that Extend has the most competitive coverage and pricing within the industry by conducting on-going SWOT analysis and industry reviews.
• Pricing and terms & conditions development for custom programs in partnership with Extend underwriting and insurance partners.
• Develop robust reporting to track and manage portfolio performance across all clients and products.
• Create content and training material that advances all department’s understanding of new and existing warranty products and programs.

What We're Looking For:

• Up to 3 years of finance or business operations experience in technology, retail or insurance industry.
• Ability to research and compile information in an easy to understand format.
• Experience with contract review or contract negotiation.
• Detailed orientated with focus on process improvement and automation.
• Experience working with complex systems.

Nice to Have's:

• Tech-savvy and familiar with SQL or other databases.
• Experience managing a portfolio of products.
• Experience managing multiple merchants across a unified platform.
