Job Description
Job Title: Building and Grounds Assistant (Dishroom)
Salary/Grade:

$13.70 - $



Job Summary:


Performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining the University's buildings, facilities, and grounds



Duties/Physical Demands:

Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles.
May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom or pot and pan area. which may include dishwasher operation
Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds which may include food and beverage items; empties trash receptacles.
May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows.
May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restrooms, may restock restroom supplies.
May handle and use cleaning, disinfectant/sanitizing material when cleaning facilities and equipment
May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies, may put away and restock supplies.
May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs and trees.



Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience required. May require driver's license. This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the use of either cleaning equipment/materials or lawn equipment/materials
Ability to understand and follow directions
