Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is looking for a Level D Body Shop Technician to perform repair to trucks involved in collisions, perform fiber glass work, perform body restoration work when needed and maintains tools and equipment in a safe manner. Level D Body Shop Technician- What You’ll Do

• Performs body restoration for trucks
• Performs work on rear and front axels
• Replaces transmission, radiators and compressors
• Replaces starter, frame rails, fifth wheel and roof
• Performs electrical work on trucks
• Performs body restoration of damaged truck
• Performs paint jobs when needed
• Notifies Manager of any additional repairs needed
• Notifies Manager of any difficulties or problems that may prevent quality job from being performed or cause a change in promised time
• Maintains tools and equipment in proper state of repair
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint and other hazardous materials
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of trucks
• Complies with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations
  

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use wide range of tools and equipment to assess and repair trucks
• Free range of motion in their hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces
• Attention to detail
• Customer service skills
• Critical thinking skills to assess damage and determine how to make repairs
• Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
