WHO WE NEED

A dynamic and experienced product engineer who will drive project completion and serve as a liaison between the domestic product development team and overseas factory engineers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cross-functionally to execute complex engineering projects
  • Partner with the Director of Product Development to clearly define opportunities, articulate the end-to-end vision of features, and execute highly crafted designs
  • Lead multiple design projects across different product development life cycles resulting in timely and fully functional delivery
  • Maintain and promote architectural vision and strategy
  • Conceptual thinking that balances user needs and business goals
  • Develop scalable and maintainable C/C++ code in support of new designs
  • Maintain and grow customer and partner relationships
  • Create and maintain design documentation including context diagrams and flowcharts
  • Monitor subcontractor, consultant, vendor performance
  • Establish functional requirements and performance targets for product and software designs
  • Identify programs risks and plans to mitigate, neutralize or otherwise handle risk to ensure program success
  • Provide regular updates to the C-Suite and other relevant parties on progress within the work plan to ensure coordination across the engineering team and other company departments
  • Verify designs against function and robustness specifications (within own domain of expertise) to ensure products perform
  • Continuously improve existing methods and processes to facilitate efficient delivery of high quality products to customers

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited four-year college or university and 4+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in previously mentioned field with 2+ years’ experience
  • Minimum 2 years R&D/new product development experience
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated ability to deliver excellent products within established timelines
  • Experience in embedded software development employing C/C++ and structured programming
  • Demonstrated experience with the STM32 family of MCUs or similar
  • Programming experience with an embedded IDE tool like Keil Uvision
  • Experience with a software version control system like Git
  • PCB design and back engineering experience
  • DC motor control and real-time operating systems programming experience

PREFERRED

  • Bilingual English/Mandarin
  • Designed and built a functional robot for school, work or personal project
  • Massage chair or related industry experience
  • Salesforce experience
