Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled and exciting environment where the execution of “Fast and Flawless” service is paramount.
  • Provides timely, accurate and courteous beverage service to all guests while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures as described in department specific cash handling procedures and internal controls.
  • Assures all drink requests are properly rung on MICROS systems.
  • Adheres to all service standards.
  • Abides all laws pertaining to service and sale of alcoholic beverages as provided in property alcohol management program.
  • Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Performs all related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior restaurant experience required.
  • 2 years service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of all drinks, recipes and garnishes.
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Follows uniform guidelines.
  • Clean and neat appearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

JOB DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Position requires 10% standing, 90% walking.
  • Requires some pushing and twisting.
  • Requires frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
  • Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift and mobility to move easily around entire property
