BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS - WEST FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOL
POSITION: Behavior Technicians - Positions are available at various levels within the WFPS district.
TERM: WFPS Calendar - regular positions, continuing
SUMMARY: The Behavior Technician will assist teachers within the district’s specialized programs and will assist students with daily instructional and non-instructional activities in order to provide skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
  • Reliable and dependable attendance
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
  • Experience working with complex student behaviors preferred

SALARY: 2020-2021 Classified Support Staff Salary Schedule
  • This position begins as a Special Education Paraprofessional that will undergo a comprehensive training program prior to graduating to the Behavior Technician status and hourly rate.
Special Education Paraprofessional Rate = $14.63/hour plus excellent benefits and paid time off
