Beer Sales Trainee

The Sales Trainee day to day responsibilities include making successful sales, distribution, and retail execution of Beechwood products and related programs resulting in the overall volume growth within the assigned territories of Northwest Wisconsin. This individual will also be responsible for merchandising of accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ongoing sales team support for sale, distribution, and placement of all award-winning Beechwood Craft, Import, Seltzer, and Spirit Brands.
• Develop and maintain effective customer relations and promote the good will of the company
• Train, learn, and apply key strategic selling skills in preparation for future sales route work.
• Showcase learned selling skills in sales route relief work as needed
• Learn proper merchandising of select accounts and key Craft brands with engaging promotional design and signage in concert with fellow sales team direction and collaboration.
• Ensure that all product is rotated and code policy is followed
• Coordinate and build exciting and engaging floor displays at select key accounts
• Assist with customer inquiries regarding our extensive portfolio as well as company policies
• Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned area
• Support our key brands and fellow staff at supplier events or bar promotions as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What It Takes To Work Here:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in a business or marketing related field
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
• Superior organization skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Computer proficiency, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Knowledge of legal requirements regarding the sale and the delivery of alcoholic beverages
• Knowledge of Beechwood’s beer portfolio
• Sales and customer service experience required
• Must be able to lift, move and place cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis

Physical Demands Of The Job:

• Use of hand and foot controls for driving
• Walking and climbing stairs
• Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis.
• Pushing and pulling a hand truck and/or cart on level and inclined surfaces on a frequent basis
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine
