Bartender

The Southern Steak & Oyster is looking for a bartender to join our team. We are a group of high-energy, creative folks with a passion for hospitality. As a bartender, ensuring quality guest experiences in a teamwork environment will be your top priority. Experience in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant/bar setting will set you up for success in this position. The ability to manage behind-the-bar service smoothly by adapting to the needs of the restaurant in the moment and remaining calm and kind under pressure is essential. As we enter our 10th year serving the Nashville community, we are proud that many of our team members have been with us since the very beginning.

Bartenders are scheduled 4-5 days per week. Pay starts at 6.00 per hour plus tips, with hourly pay increases over time, based on performance. Credit card tips are included on staff paychecks every other week, with server tip-outs.

Qualifications include:
*
*
- Experience in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant/bar setting.
*
*
- Extensive knowledge and experience in classic cocktails (Gimlet, Old Fashioned, French 75, etc) as well as knowledge in Spirits and Wine.

- Ability to multi-task to service guests at the bar or through servers who place drink orders for dining room guests.
*

- An eye for bar organization including stocking, cleanliness, and garnish prep.

- Strong knowledge of local health codes is essential. We have an amazing track record with health scores and need to keep it up!

- Passion for creating beautiful cocktails and beverage experiences for our guests.
