Position Description
CGI is looking for a talented, driven AWS Solution Architect who has a passion for designing solutions for cloud-based applications. Your future duties and responsibilities

• Actively serve as a technical advisor to different application development teams.
• Advise clients on AWS best practices and help clients to decide on right AWS element to use to realize cost optimization and performance.
• Define current and target state architectures, transition architectures, and roadmaps.
• Work alongside of client solution architects to identify needs, design, and support of technical solutions.
• Develop high level design documents across multiple architecture domains such as business, data, integration, resiliency and application.
• Conduct engineering reviews for solutions designed by DevOps and Software Development teams.
• Design, develop, and present POC projects to support proposed solutions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to the junior team members.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 4-5 years of experience designing, developing and delivering enterprise, full lifecycle solutions in the cloud
• Strong experience with designing end to end solutions in cloud environment
• Strong experience with designing and developing database solution for enterprise application
• Deep understanding of serverless architectures and containers
• Strong interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to recognize business needs, prioritize requests, recommend solid technical solutions, and coach in delivering solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with a relentless attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse group of clients, team members, managers, and subject matter experts (SME)
• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or related field required
