As part of a small and growing A/V team, you will apply your skills in the audio/video/collaboration space by providing support for small to large company meetings, managing A/V inventory, as well as maintaining existing conference rooms. You must have a passion for managing a large workload under tight deadlines as you support a company that builds space vehicles. The IT Support A/V Support Technician is a member of the Information Technology department and reports directly to the East Region Supervisor of IT Support.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and operate solutions for a multi-site, highly dynamic enterprise communications environment
  • Maintain standards for conference room types
  • Assist in management of audio/video projects, including expenses and budget, from bid process through project completion
  • Technical escalation point for A/V related issues; identifies and oversees root cause resolution efforts
  • Research new, innovative audio/video solutions
  • Maintain documentation and inventory for A/V systems
  • Provide A/V support/production for large company events (Town Halls and other companywide events)
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting audio/video services
  • 2+ years of livestreaming support experience
  • 2+ years of customer support experience
  • Hands on experience with terminations, diagnostic tools, cabling, and hand tools
  • Knowledge of DSPs, signal flow and routing, AV controllers, and installed AV systems
  • Ability to prioritize, execute, and make sound decisions in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to document standard work and cross-train as needed
  • Able to quickly adapt to fast changing priorities and deadlines
  • Required to be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds as well as physically climb multiple flights of stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired

  • Certifications: Dante Level 1 & 2, CompTIA A+, Network +
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels
  • 2+ years of experience working in IT Helpdesk, basic hardware or software troubleshooting, and being in a customer facing position
  • Proven understanding of livestreaming software (Wirecast, OBS)
  • Proven understanding of recording software (Davinci Resolve)
  • Proven understanding of Zoom/Teams/Webex and other video collaboration platforms
