MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00 am-5:00 pm

OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing and content efforts of the Product Manager who oversees numerous product lines. You will be working directly with the Product Marketing Group and suppliers to accumulate, maintain, update, and manage product-specific content so that it may be optimized for use in multiple mediums and platforms in order to be accessible throughout the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Using a web-minded approach when generating product data in order to help Fastenal customers make purchasing decisions online
o Ensuring data quality during new product activation
o Cleaning and maintaining Fastenal's item tree and the attributes that exist within product categories
o Accumulating and maintaining product images and other media that may pertain to the website or print publications
o Enhancing Fastenal's print literature or related projects within the department's scope
o Assisting with monthly promotional content, spiffs, specials, and pricing accuracy
o Maintaining data integrity for the products managed by the Product Manager
o Developing web content and images such as Product notes, related items, SLA's and cross references

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Comply with the Federal Contractor Vaccine Mandate through vaccination or approved exemption prior to the start of employment (applicable in the US ONLY)
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Marketing, or Operations
o Prior experience using other business systems, product association, and placement
o Knowledge and familiarity with industrial products
