As an Investment Service Associate your primary goal is to support existing Empower clients with all aspects of their investment needs. The applicant should have a strong customer service background with a firm understanding of the diverse operational and investment needs of our customers. Knowledge of current financial markets and retirement account operations are necessary.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Service new and existing client needs via inbound calls

  • Handle client trading of Equity, ETF, Mutual Fund, Options and Fixed Income securities

  • Engage customers in an Investment Recommendation Conversation

  • Respond to operational inquiries regarding trading, asset movement, account opening and asset consolidation

  • Deliver an efficient and responsive client experience by taking ownership, delivering accurate information and initiate proactive follow up

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Brokerage transaction and regulatory requirements including: Corporate Actions, Exchange Rules, Suitability, and Tax Implications.

  • Uncover leads and opportunities to hand off to the Retirement Advisor Team

  • Drive new business opportunities

  • Actively participate in team meetings, product seminars/trainings in support of strategic department and firm initiates

  • Be a team leader and participate in employee collaboration

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

REGISTRATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSING REQUIRED:

  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 required.
  • Fingerprinting
  • Insurance license may be required within 90 days of hire

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of financial customer service experience

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Strong technological skills and an ability to multi-task across systems.

  • Past brokerage and mutual fund trading experience

  • Retail, IRA and/or 401K customer service experience

  • Comprehensive PC skills including ability to quickly learn Empower Retirement’s recordkeeping system

  • Solid practical understanding of Empower Retirement’s policies and procedures as well as our product offerings and the brokerage and mutual fund industry

  • Comprehensive professional skills

Competitive compensation, includes base salary and eligibility to participate in either an annual bonus program or sales incentive plan, as applicable. Base salary range provided below is a reasonable estimate and final base salary may differ based on the selected candidate’s education, training, experience, licensure requirements, travel requirements and geographic location.
