We’re now seeking an associate director of email and marketing automation to join our collaborative marketing team.


Summary


The Associate Director of Email & Marketing Automation will oversee client email and marketing automation strategy, execution, and performance to ensure campaigns are effective and processes are efficient. He/she will serve in both a strategic/advisor role and an execution role while helping educate mdg staff and clients on best practices in implementing marketing automation with a heavy focus on optimizing campaign performance and client outcomes. This person will work closely with the members of digital and account services team to develop action plans for mdg clients with varying technology infrastructures, needs and goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee marketing automation team operations, client strategy, and campaign performance for email and marketing automation for mdg
  • Collaborate with internal account services team and external client marketing teams to understand marketing automation needs to develop clear strategies, effective campaigns and recommend solutions.
  • Develop SOPs relative to marketing automation best practices related to list/contact management, system health check, sequence development, lead scoring, campaign optimizations, reporting, and best practices and continue to improve process and ROI for clients.
  • Serve as agency SME and team lead for Marketing Automation and Email strategy and support.
  • Help oversee management a variety of automation partners and help research other cost-effective marketing automation solution for clients.
  • Leverage expertise in Salesforce and CRM where applicable. Work to establish SOP for contact management and system integrations to improve marketing automation performance.
  • In coordination with VP, ensure we have consistent support in place for a variety of clients at different maturity points (basic, mid-tier and complex).
  • Work with Data and Insights team to report on KPIs, campaign performance and provide key stakeholders recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Work with directors and project managers to ensure GA and tracking in place and follow QA.

Qualifications:


  • 7-10+ years’ experience using marketing automation tools, preferably Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot and/or Eloqua or comparable platform
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large number of email campaigns and segmentation strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and experience presenting data and campaign reports in organized and highly visual formats
  • 3+ years’ experience with CRM and Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices and engagement metrics as well as CAN-SPAM legislation
  • Certified in Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot and/or Eloqua or comparable platform
  • Technical proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications
