THE ROLE:

  • This position will report to the: Sr. Brand Manager, Bolthouse Farms
  • Location: Bakersfield, CA
  • Travel Requirements: Fully Remote; w/ occasional travel to our head office in Bakersfield, CA and/or Los Angeles, CA
  • FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Associate Brand Manager role works closely with the Sr. Brand Manager in executing the marketing strategy for the Bolthouse Farms Beverage and Dressings portfolio of branded products. This is a very broad role supporting the base business needs of our CPG businesses, but will also assist with the execution of opportunistic strategic initiatives. Consequently, this role provides exposure to many facets of the business and multiple teams, including but not limited to Sales, Insights, and Operations.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

JOB DUTIES:

  • Generates brand and business building ideas, and makes recommendations regarding product line objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging, and product lifecycle.
  • Reviews opportunities & risks to identify business opportunities and makes recommendations to optimize plans.
  • Applies consumer insights, assesses trends, reviews competitive data and market performance data to gain understanding of consumer, customer, competitive environment and channel needs to drive growth for the brand and product lines.
  • Completes business analysis and shares out relevant monthly/quarterly reviews and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Identifies, quantifies, and executes product renovations that improve the consumer experience and/or profitability.
  • Manages cross-functional project teams and timelines to deliver brand and product initiatives. Strong leadership of cross-functional partners required to ensure successful execution. Effectively manages workload by prioritizing and multi-tasking. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to drive impact.
  • Manage and track marketing department annual budget and spending.
  • Supports the Brand Manager of Innovation as needed on key projects with development and management of trend analysis and innovation pipeline execution.
  • Partners with Marketing Communications team to guide communication to drive household penetration and share growth.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • A deep understanding of how to read, interpret data from syndicated sources such as IRI or Nielsen, and proprietary sources such as consumer research.
  • Proven, reliable work history

  • Time management: Effectively manage workload by prioritizing and managing multiple assignments
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Travel: Will require 10-15% travel for in-person team meetings, commercialization needs, primarily to Bakersfield or Los Angeles.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Direct experience working on/with food categories.
  • P&L fluency.

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hour work week. Some flex may be required during peak work periods.
