Job Description

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking an Associate QA Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas.


Job Summary:
Associate QA Specialist builds, documents, qualifies and maintains Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for assuring product conformance in electronics manufacturing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Builds, documents, qualifies and maintains ATE for high-to-low volume electronics manufacturing.
  • Develops test software in any or all of the following languages: Labview, C++, Visual Basic, Automated X-ray Inspection, HP3070, HPVEE.
  • Builds and maintains hardware to interface unit-under-test (UUT) to the ATE.
  • Maintains and supports production test equipment.
  • Services Help Desk Requests.
  • Builds and maintains ATE and Electro-Mechanical Test Fixtures.
  • Procures and maintains electro-mechanical parts.
  • Documents designs using CAD software.
  • Documents Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Qualification Plans, Test Equipment and Test Fixture drawings, and Equipment Calibration Procedures.
  • Performs statistical analysis on test equipment designs including 6-sigma and Cpk analysis.


Education
: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 0-1 year of related experience
  • RF, Digital, and/or Analog Electronics
  • Troubleshooting
  • Installation skills


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Programming languages (Labview, C++, Visual Basic, X-ray, HPVEE, HP3070)
  • Debugging/testing
