Position Highlights The Division of Genetics, Genomics & Precision Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine is recruiting an early or mid-stage career physician scientist with a PhD or equivalent degree who have either established or show promise of establishing a research career which includes bioinformatics and human genetics in respiratory diseases and be eligible for a University of Arizona tenure or tenure eligible academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Establishment of an independent research program with extramural funding and publication of research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Co-investigator in multi-center research studies, representing the UA site and being active in committees. Developing external collaborations to further research.
  • Participate in teaching genetics/ genomics in our graduate programs.
  • Mentor graduate students and fellows.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or MD/PhD degree in Genomics/Molecular Medicine or relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications Background in human genetics and data analysis of large data sets, preferably in Respiratory Medicine.
