Assistant Store Manager

We have an opening for an Assistant Manager at Shorty’s Garden Center! We are looking for a hardworking, confident, and experienced individual who is self-motivated and passionate about serving our customers and team as much as they are about plants. This is a full-time, salaried position, with hours that vary depending on the season.

As an important part of our team, you will be responsible for many operational tasks to support our growing business. In this role, you’ll build purchase orders, process freight, manage inventory accuracy, place orders for some categories and be able to step into the sales and cashier roles as needed. You’ll be expected to confidently answer plant related questions, offer design advice, play a leadership role, and provide excellent customer service. Must have horticulture and inventory management experience. Retail and customer service experience is preferred. This is a fast-paced position and everyone on our team works hard – really hard!
