The ASM, is an important Gentle Monster representative and top producer in the store. This role leads by example in demonstrating Client experience and service initiatives in the store. The Assistant Manager partners with Store Management in mentoring the sales team in growth, client development, driving conversion through salesmanship, client outreach and client book management.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Achieve the stores sales objectives through consistent personal sales goal achievement, sales motivation and training of team.
  • Support SM implementing action plan to correct negative trends and achieve store goals.
  • Model exemplary selling techniques and customer service.
  • Lead the team in Sales.
  • Prepare and send nightly and weekly business recap.

Customer

  • Assist sales associates in developing and maintaining long-term clients through the effective use of customer service, client books and events.
  • Support GM in local outreach to network within the community.
  • Offer suggestions to GM in strategizing customer awareness, traffic and sales.

HR

  • Support GM in training and supervising store staff.
  • Ensure that associates are trained in all aspects of their sales responsibilities including customer service, clientele development, company history and product knowledge.
  • Assist in motivating team to encourage positive work environment fostering friendly and service oriented atmosphere.
  • Monitor weekly schedule to maximize talent, payroll and store coverage.
  • Take an active role in store meetings to communicate store expectations and priorities to the entire team.

Operations

  • Maintain a consistently clean and well-maintained sales floor and stock room. Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Ensure Policy and Procedure is followed to maintain store safety and abide by local, state, and government regulations.
  • Follow company cash handling, loss prevention, store funds and deposit procedures. Ensure that all visual and merchandising directives are implemented accordingly.
  • Identify and discuss operational issues and concerns with GM.
  • Perform other duties as directed by GM or the retail home office.

Inventory

  • Insure product is replenished and re-stocked daily and as needed.
  • Ensure that product shipment, repairs and RTV's are accounted for with accuracy.
  • Review product sales performance and inventory needs and review with supervisor and retail team.
