Overview:

The Restaurant Supervisor safely and efficiently provides excellent customer service with a smile! We want our guests to feel good about their dining experience so that they will tell others and become a loyal customer. In addition to acting as Manager On Duty, this position will oversee bar inventory and FoH scheduling, and may require occasional bartending shifts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in training, coaching, and role modeling for New Hires (provide positive and constructive feedback)
  • Maintain par levels of wine, beer, liquor and bar supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, organization and maintenance of the restaurant space
  • Communicate standard operation procedures to staff to assure quality and consistency of service
  • Up-sell/suggestively sell food and beverages by describing each item in an appealing way to increase check average and broaden guest experience
  • Assure needs of guests are continually being met in a courteous and professional manner throughout the duration of their visit
  • Maintain food and beverage control (i.e., liquor portion control, age verification); follow guidelines and practices outlined in TIPs training
  • Know menu, menu prices, composition of food and beverage menu items; be familiar with all daily specials with proper plating procedures and restaurant promotions
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing and handling intoxicated guests
  • Support FoH staff whenever and however necessary
  • Handle house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
  • Reconcile and balance all sales transactions at the end of each shift; generate closing reports
  • Perform opening & closing work as requested

Skills Required:

Leadership, problem-solving, and basic computer skills; ability to share knowledge and teach others to perform tasks, high level customer service, effective communication with guests and team members, able to follow instructions, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure

Experience / Education:

Server/bartender experience, supervisory experience preferred; must be of legal age to serve alcohol; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
