Assistant Mgr

Position Purpose and Summary:Under the general supervision of the Director of Cardiology Services and/or Administrative Manager, the Non-Invasive Cardiology Assistant Manager, assesses, plans implements and evaluates the day-to-day activities of the department. Communicates with and functions as liaison between physicians, nursing, techs and all ancillary departments for the coordination of paient care. Provides administrative direction to the development and evaluation of all personnel within the department and ensures continuity and quality of patient care. The Assistant Manager maintains 24-hour accountability. Education/Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, or an accredited school of Non-invasive Cardiology, Ultrasound, or Radiology Technology, along with a current state licensure/registration.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences preferred.
• Current credentials as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS) and Vascular Technologist (RVT and RVS) from the ARDMS/CCI preferred. (If only registered in one field, must obtain registry in second field within 6 months of hire) or current ARRT registered Radiology Technologist.
• 2-3 years of experience in Non-Invasive Cardiology, Interventional Radiology or Special Imaging preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience in charge role within a Non-Invasive Cardiology, Interventional Radiology or Special Imaging department.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months from starting date.
