Job Description
The Assistant Curator for Campus and Public Programs manages the scheduling and implementation of university and public programming and engages with university and community audiences through cross-disciplinary, multi-modal instruction. This includes maintaining the museum’s programs and events calendar, managing the volunteer docent program, teaching university classes, and serving as the liaison for K–12 school engagement. Supports the director in developing a vibrant and engaged community by promoting the museum’s commitment to access, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a masters degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience).
  • Three years of successful teaching experience with a variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make connections between works of art and the ideas they embody and diverse disciplines across the curriculum, and to create and implement successful teaching strategies in-person and online.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications for scheduling, presenting, data collecting, and evaluation.
