SUMMARY
The Assistant Account Manager is a key member of the operations team supporting and maintaining the assigned accounts. Responsibilities will include data analytics, reporting, billing/invoicing, and additional administrative duties. This position will serve as an additional point of contact on the account for communication, analytical and process related items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform data analysis at the account level to ensure a profitable return. Review recommended corrective actions needed to improve profitability.
- Prepare regular reporting such as revenue reports, inventory updates and daily activities.
- Respond to customer ad-hoc reporting requests for both internal and external customers.
- Develop and support positive working relationships between both team members, departments, and external customers.
- Research and troubleshoot customer problems. Recommend and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Responsible for preparing account invoicing and billing to include: Prepare accurate monthly billing for assigned account base; Review and analyze invoicing for accuracy per contractual agreements; Resolving billing issues within the guidelines of the account contract and company policies.
- Prepare additional account payables and receivables for third party vendors.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for each client. Provide timely and accurate documentation upon request from internal and external customers.
- Assist in interviewing and onboarding of new employees for account.
- Assist in staff planning and scheduling.
- Serve as an additional point of contact for assigned accounts as they relate to areas of responsibility.
- Identify areas of process improvement where applicable.
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures for warehouse and customer service activities.
- Responsible for supporting a safe working environment and demonstrating a culture of safety.

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a logistics, supply chain, or operations-based role required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Experience working with a WMS strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (requires frequent manipulation of spreadsheets in Excel). Proficient mathematical skills to apply concepts to practical situations and compute and interpret numerical data. Ability to learn and effectively use software applications. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise good judgment in dealing with sensitive information. Must possess a high level of reasoning ability and common sense to resolve complex problems and analyze data and information accurately. Ability to work effectively in a team. Exemplary organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a changing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write on a professional level. Comfortable communicating with a range of employees, managers, and customers.
