General Summary

The Assembly and Packing Clerk is responsible for learning all aspects of the shipping and receiving functions as defined by the Böllhoff Senior Management Team. We currently have an opening on 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Core Functions

  • Manual asssembly placing rubber o-rings on parts
  • Counting, Packaging and Labeling parts kits for customers
  • Packing, labeling, banding and preparing skids for parts

Also learning and backing up as needed:

  • Forklift operation and daily checks
  • Picking and preparing shipments
  • Packing parts
  • Putting parts away in documented locations
  • Receiving parts and updating M3
  • Delivering products to the proper recipients
  • Notifying Quality when all incoming parts arrive for inspection and testing purposes
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Processing all shipments for outside processing
  • Being cross-trained in all other positions of the department
  • Verifying completed packed parts and documenting the transaction
  • Packing and labeling parts per customer specific standards
  • Assessing and maintaining proper storage of finished goods
  • Cycle counts
  • Operation of the forklift as needed as well as the required daily checks
  • Conducting physical inventory as determined by management
  • Putting packed parts away in designated locations from sort
  • Adjusting inventory in/out of warehouse
  • Maintaining non-conforming goods
  • All necessary paperwork
  • Preparing all necessary parts for shipment and outside processing, which include but are not limited to banding and wrapping shipments
  • Processing all types of incoming orders
  • Monitoring supply usage and reordering
  • Running back-order reports to create shipments daily
  • Advise customer service on status of shipments
  • Scheduling trucks
  • Being a contact for all EDI communications
  • Preparing all shipping documents, both domestic and international
  • Making sure all shipment paperwork is prepared to customer’s standards
  • Making sure all shipment paperwork is prepared to government standards
  • Staying abreast of all Logistics programs such as ASN, DDL, NLMI and any other programs that relate to the logistics of Bollhoff
  • Reviewing and responding to shipping discrepancies
  • Processing picking lists daily to make shipments to the customers
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Continuous improvement within the plant
  • Performing any other duties as required by the Supervisor to promote production efficiencies
  • Understand and follow the Böllhoff culture which is described in various Böllhoff internal brochures and presentations. Identify and set an example of the Böllhoff Guiding Principles including Our Values, Our Success and Our Culture

The ideal candidate will have previous experience driving a stand-up forklift in narrow aisles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.30 - $19.83 per hour
