Overview:

We are EIG, a customer-focused business within the Rapid Solutions Sector of Jacobs that is
leading the industry in Wi-Fi and geo-location tools. We have the corporate investment, infrastructure, subject matter experts, and strategic focus to enable you to be successful.

Job Description:

Candidate will work within the EIG products group to support new product development, hardware assembly and logistics, DVT and production test. Employee will be responsible for capturing documentation updates to support configuration management, will interface with the Engineering team during the prototype stage and will be responsible for manufacturing products with the production team; on time and within cost.

Duties:

  • Perform mechanical assembly and rework of prototype and production hardware.
  • PCB: Soldering, hardwiring, modifications of SMT PCAs, and hot air rework of SMT parts.
  • Chassis: Mechanical assembly of sheet metal and plastic enclosures, harness wiring from schematics and engineering drawings, crimping and soldering fine pitch internal cables, crimping and soldering of external cable, and ability to identify and solve issues with assembly process.
  • Test: Program PCAs, calibrate PCAs, perform hardware/software verification testing, and perform final acceptance testing.
  • Capture assembly processes and updating documents via MS office software suite.
  • Monitor inventory levels, answer inquiries regarding order status, availability, required dates, etc.
  • Order parts, lab supplies.
  • Execute shipping/receiving parts and/or equipment both domestic and internationally.
Here’s What You’ll Need:

Required:

  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE.
  • 5+ mechanical assembly experience.
  • 5+ years participating in software and/or hardware test.
  • Documenting test results and reproducing defects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule during QRC events.
  • MS Excel experience.

Preferred:

  • Skilled in electro-mechanical assembly and prototype modifications.
  • Experience designing test cases.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Experience with tracking products.
