The Opportunity This position is for an Architect who will craft the next generation of services for Adobe’s Experience Platform Identity Services - a foundational capability & unique differentiator for Adobe Digital Experience. Identity Services builds Identity Graph that links identities across sources of data, to create a holistic consumer profile for marketing & analytics. Identity Services processes billions of online events and CRM records each day to build its identity graphs. This is a once is a lifetime opportunity for engineers to tackle exciting challenges of scale and build core services that are used by all Adobe Digital Experience solutions. As part of building these services, you will work with an exceptionally talented and collaborative team, tackle big data challenges using the latest technologies, design innovative algorithmic solutions and build highly scalable, low latency services. What you'll do
- Lead a team of exceptional engineers to build & deploy fault-tolerant and high-performance services on FoundationDB.
- Define the architecture for identity resolution at scale for batch & real time graph computation and for highly scalable API services.
- Interact with senior leadership for alignment on architectural approaches for new initiatives
- Provide guidance in architecture, design & code reviews
- Hands on software development
- Mentor junior engineers
- Committer status or hands on development experience in FoundationDB
- 3+ years' experience as an Architect or Technical Lead; 10 or more years of experience developing in one or more of C/C++, Java OR Scala
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
- Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures
- Experience building large scale real time & batch data processing systems using big data technologies.
- Under-the-hood knowledge of technologies such as Spark, Flink & Kafka
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Experience presenting at conferences
- Working knowledge of Linux is a plus
