Application Support Specialist Responsibilities:

As the Application Support Specialist, you will have a variety of tasks to complete. You will act as a resource for all staff and physicians to address any software issues, maximize software potential, and create enterprises for departmental efficiencies. You will participates in setup and implementation of new systems, upgrades, or modifications including evaluations and testing and participate in performing system audits and identifying IT security risks.

Application Support Specialist Requirements:

· High School graduate or equivalent

· Minimum of two years’ experience with practice management, EHR software, and the healthcare environment preferred

· Experience in writing and modifying reports produced from software systems

· Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

· Experience in medical billing and/or clinical practice is preferred

- Working knowledge of HIPPA security issues and basic understanding of physician practice operations

At Dayton Gastro we require the employee to be able to perform the duties of this job including opening filing cabinets, ability to sit for long periods of time, and lifting office products up to 20 lbs. The employee should be flexible; patient focused, show initiative, as well as maintains a high standard of confidentiality. The candidate for this position must have computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office and must be able to effectively communicate with other both verbally and in writing.
