Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland plays a vital role as a local and regional leader in serious clinical illness or injury. With around-the-clock expertise for critical health issues, including experts in trauma, heart care, burns, significant wounds, stroke, brain surgery and more, Legacy Emanuel is central to the health of our community and critical to the care of the Northwest.
Emanuel Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Regional Burn Center and serves the needs of both adult hospital population as well as Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.Responsibilities: The Anesthesia Aide is a technically skilled person, responsible for assisting in the set-up of Anesthesia equipment, assisting with changeovers, and ordering and stocking supplies wherever needed for the Department of Anesthesia. The Anesthesia Aide works in collaboration with the Clinical Anesthesia Specialists (CASs), surgery staff, purchasing and pharmacy. The Anesthesia Aide takes direction from the Anesthesiologists and CASs. The Anesthesia Aide may be requested to be on pager standby as needed.Qualifications: Education:High School diploma required. Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and math principles preferred.
Experience:One year of hospital-experience preferred.
Skills:Good attention to detail. Ability to accurately perform repetitious tasks.
