Job Description


We are looking for a passionate, collaborative, and adaptable individual to join our team as an Analytics Supervisor. The Analytics group are passionate about data analysis, measurement, and storytelling. We are nimble and scrappy, employing multiple traditional and non-traditional methods & data sources to tackle challenges ranging from consumer insights, audience exploration, brand health, competitive analysis, media attribution, media accountability, data dash-boarding and advanced modeling.

As a mid-level member of the analytics team, you will have the challenging role of working closely with & managing both junior level and senior level team members. Your responsibility will be to help solve current and prospective client strategic problems in collaboration with not just the rest of the Analytics team, but also with various members of the New Business, Strategy, and Account Teams. This is a significant task as the agency looks to the Analytics group for much direction, strategic thinking, and prowess in data science.

Advertising agency experience is desirable, or a varied background in a combination of brand management, management consulting, communications strategy and/or media analytics.

Ideally you:

  • Have a love of data, analysis, and creative problem solving
  • Are comfortable in leading or managing client/group discussions
  • Have solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking agility
  • Are adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team setting as needed
  • Don’t mind rolling your sleeves up for data cleansing, data visualization, and analysis
  • Not afraid to speak up, ask questions, share your thoughts, and listen to others

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategic discussions with our clients to help define media objectives, target customers & opportunity sizing, communication channels, optimal budget allocations and investment levels, media timing, and messaging.
  • Translate clients’ business questions into an actionable data and research plan.
  • Generate quantitative and qualitative consumer and market research including:
    • Demographic, psychographic, and behavioral customer profiling
    • Media channel coverage, penetration, receptivity
    • Brand health deep dives
    • Competitive analysis, market prioritization, and Category/Industry trends
  • Conduct marketing mix modeling of clients’ businesses. Help media team understand historical media performance, determine optimal media budget, and allocate budget across multiple media channels
  • Transform raw data into engaging visuals and compelling stories. You will bring data and research to life for clients and choose the best visuals and mediums to deliver your message.
  • You will be the analytics and business intelligence expert in most client meetings and will be expected to guide the discussion as well as present findings and recommendations.
  • Help develop and innovate Crossmedia’s data and analytics offerings. Keeping us on the cutting edge of data tools and technology.
  • Team Management and project management. Train/mentor analyst to be up to date with analytical knowledge, software, and state of business.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BA (or advanced degree) in Statistics, Analytics, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the media/advertising industry.
  • Hands on Experience with marketing mix modeling, familiarity using statistical tools/software (R, Python, SAS, SPSS and equivalent)
  • Experience with data visualization and common cloud platforms (Tableau, Datorama, Domo, etc.)
  • Experience with various statistical analysis such as k-means clustering, regressions, A-B testing and multivariate test design etc is preferred
  • Experience with big data management, data ETL, data storage (such as AWS, SQL, Hadoop, Spark etc.) is preferred
  • Familiarity using syndicated consumer research surveys (MRI, Simmons, YouGov, etc.) is a plus
  • Previous exposure to media tools (Kantar, NMR, iSpot, Comscore, AdClarity, MOAT/DoubleVerify, Adobe SiteCatalyst/Google Analytics) is a plus
