Analyst, IT Technical : Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands

Responsible for technical role in the design, development and implementation of the Kontoor manufacturing execution and shop floor control Systems. For manufacturing, Kontoor Brands is currently utilizing a combination of internally developed systems as well as SAP 4.6 and CGS Blue Cherry ( Leadtec ) for execution and shop floor control. Additionally, Infor XA is used for equipment maintenance and management. Specific vendor applications may change based on business selections. For manufacturing this includes implementation of the SAP S4 Fashion manufacturing solution and integration to various 3rd party solutions.

This individual will be called upon for support, research, analysis, design and to contribute to strategy, and innovation. This individual must possess qualities of a self-starter and will collaborate with cross functional business and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the functional and technical design, configuration, and implementation of Manufacturing and related systems.

  • Perform research, analysis and problem solve to develop and validate the best solution to issues.

  • Contribute to the definition and documentation of processes, WRICEF, Functional Specifications, test plans/scripts, deployment plans and appl ication changes .

  • Develop knowledge of current manufacturing, planning and distribution technologies and support manufacturing engineering in relevant evaluations as requested.

  • Partner with Integration Teams and Business Users to evaluate solution against requi rements and to test that g aps / issues are identified and resolved

  • Perform unit and integration testing

  • Test and evaluate results to d eliver high-quality solutions.

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support and incident resolution

  • Assist Level 1 support to reduce incident rate and improved solutions.

  • Develop / code and support solutions for manufacturing systems as needed

  • For any system implementations or other projects:

  • Assist Team lead in the formulation of plans and activities to support project implementation and maintain elevated levels of communication.

  • Team member in development of IT solution design, testing, deployment and change management .

  • Support activ ities for integration with various systems and partners, both internal and external.

  • Support data cleansing/migration activities

  • Participate in reviews of program deliverables and status

Skills for Success:

  • Technical skills: AS400 administration, Windows, Data Communications, Integration toolsets, COBOL, .NET, JAVA, XML, SQL, SAP ABAP and data query tools, UNIX.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics functions

  • Good conceptual, analytical and problem- solving sills

  • Good communication and collaboration skills

  • Willingness to learn new systems, technical tools, programming languages

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree / work experience

  • At least 3+ years :

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Apparel / Consumer Products Industry experience (preferred)

  • Configuration, development and implementation of new technical solutions

  • Project implementations, including Planning, Design, Implementation, Go-live and Hypercare

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
