About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Fort A.P. Hill Regional Ammunition Manager with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization & Security (DPTMS) at Fort A.P. Hill, VA.

Fort A.P. Hill falls under the Richmond general schedule pay scale, with a locality pay of 19.95%.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ammunition planning and management, training, operational and basis load requirements, authorizations forecast and management and training tenant activities ammunition staff.
  • Serve as the central point-of-contact for all actions accomplished through the Total Ammunition Management Information System-Redesigned (TAMIS-R).
  • Review and validate each organizational unit?s submission of projected ammunition needs by the Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) ammunition line item.
  • Analyze future regional ammunition requirements on an annual basis .
  • Crosscheck and validate Ammunition Requests with Training Support Requests to ensure requirements are accurate.
  • Perform a monthly Supply Control Study (SCS) to match the 90 day forecast against the total of the training ammunition on hand and due-in.
  • Approve all requests for training ammunition via the automated Total Ammunition Management Information System-Redesigned (TAMIS-R).
  • Review ammunition turn-in documents to verify all issuances are accounted for.
  • Conduct studies which analyze training ammunition requirements and usage.

    Specialized Experience Statement (HR/SME): One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-09 in the federal service, which includes knowledge of Battalion/BDE Level or Installation Ammunition and Training Management. Intermediate automated data processing (ADP), multi-media and telecommunications skills, Customer Service, Interpersonal communication skills, acquisitions / resource management and forecasting, records management and correspondence management. Fully knowledgeable of the Systems Approach to Training.

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
