Typical Duties

In cooperation with the Director of College Advancement and MPIO staff, coordinate the development, production and release of the MCC Spirit Store, alumni association and foundation web pages, social media sites, publications, and general communications.
Work with Director of College Advancement, MPIO staff, and Chief of Advancement to establish annual communication plan and align messaging and timing to optimize benefit to the college.
At the direction of the Chief of Institutional Planning & Advancement Officer, take lead in the planning, development and execution of alumni association activities, including meetings, fundraising, and social events.
Provide leadership, information and support to develop alumni association climate of inclusivity, positivity and support for college interests and mission fulfillment.
Provide direct support as needed and requested for foundation activities, including direct interaction with donors, volunteers, and foundation board members.
Engage with community members to develop relationships and enthusiastic support for the college, the alumni association, and the college foundation.
Adhere to college, federal and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.
Perform other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience in community engagement and communications
Or, any combination of education and experience that results in possession of skills, knowledge and behaviors as outlined in the position's core competencies below.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
