General Manager

Overview

As a General Manager, your station will be an important part of our customers’ travel experience. You’ll lead your stations’ day-to-day operational, service, financial and team performance. Most importantly, you’ll create a great place to work for your team and a welcoming environment for our customers.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day operational and financial performance of assigned station, monitoring performance against plan and initiating corrective actions to improve resultsEnsures compliance with safety requirements, including security checkpoint and GSC responsibilitiesSets a positive example for station team to ensure excellent customer serviceResponsible for maintaining a positive work environment, strong employee relations, and collaborative relationshipsSolicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and opportunities to improve their travel experienceDemonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operationsProvides coaching and direction to the station team to achieve operational goalsManages the station budget, staffing forecasts and resource requirementsResponsible for maintaining station facilities, equipment, and professional appearance standards for all UGE employeesResponsible for compliance with Station controls and Internal Audit standardsMaintain strong working relationships with OAL / airport authorities / vendors / governmental authorities ( FAA / TSA / CBP)/internal divisionsManage vendor service contracts as required

Education

College Degree or equivalent work experience requiredCollege degree in business or a closely related field may substitute for the required experience

Knowledge/Skills
Required

Ability to manage airport operations independentlyAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environmentAnalytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performanceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving skills and drive for excellenceOrganization and planning skillsMust possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid.)Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach othersMust be flexible to work all shifts and, when necessary, available 7 days a week / 24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends, to deal with any operational and /or unforeseen situations

Experience

Previous service or operational experience requiredPrevious supervisory experience required
