Job Description

Position Summary:

Fully understands the methods and procedures to perform the following functions: Incoming inspections, execute repair tasks and final completion procedures on Airbus Helicopters, Inc. Blade Components. Team member will be expected to ensure a quality product.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical: Tear down, Clean, Inspect, Repair, Assemble and Closeout Components: 80%
  • Tear down, clean, inspect, repair, assemble and closeout components
  • Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts, supplies and tools.
  • Clear understanding of methods and procedures on incoming inspections.
  • Able to effectively utilize all hand tools needed to execute inspection and repairs.
  • Skilled on cleaning and stripping when required performing the repairs on blade components.
  • Able to prepare and perform repair techniques for return to service of piece parts.
  • Capable on assembly of finished product.
  • Skilled on closing out all final paper work and quality gates for QA creation of 8130-3.
  • Ensures completed work complies with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer's applicable maintenance manuals, blueprints, RDAS, etc.
  • Maintain responsibility to ensure personal scrap levels are kept at a minimum.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent experience. Some trade school desirable.

Preferred:

  • A&P License

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience with composite or fiberglass materials.

Preferred:

  • Candidate with aircraft blade repair experience.

  • FAA Airframe Certificate or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 90%
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms on a daily basis.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications on a daily basis.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts on a daily basis.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/14kgs on a daily basis.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/14kgs on a daily basis.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools on a daily basis.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer on a daily basis.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor on a daily basis.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Possible once or twice a year.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces on a daily basis.
